Today is Monday the 27th of April, 2026. I am done with my daily standup, was just about to start my daily task; creating or building out an ad campaign landing page before redesigning the AI automation tool we’re building(AgentSpec) and I just couldn’t. Maybe, it’s fatigue or stress, maybe, I need to take my leave and reset, but what I know for certain is I just don’t feel like continuing in this line of work anymore: being primarily, a Frontend Engineer. It could be this particular workplace and I might need a fresh start or fresh job. It could be the recurring tasks are no longer endearing and growth can be achieved in such way. However, what persists and I know for sure is this desire to restart or face a new challenge.
I have made this decision so many times this year but never really followed through completely, but with today’s event, I feel, even more now than ever, that it’s the right time to take the step and leap.
Today, I’m gradually stepping away from Frontend and Web development to focus on something new, something more challenging; officially learning to be a CyberSecurity Engineer/Analyst.
I don’t really know what this means or how long it will take but one thing I know is it’s the top from here. I’m planning to leave this country on or before next year and I feel this will be very very very relevant to that cause.
